Why Season Three is Always the Best Season for TV Shows
I am so sorry that I have been MIA for the past two weeks. Finals got me real good and I had no time to write, but here is a lovely post for you.
I have come to the conclusion that in any type of show, whether it's a drama or a comedy, season three is always the best season. Season one usually holds back and season two tries to experiment, but then if there are more seasons, the show hits their stride. Season three is always the best one, and for most shows it goes downhill from there or it drags out for way too long.

I am going to give a lot of examples for this and why it was the perfect season for each show. There are some outliers with these where the 3rd season was not good. Those will be shared as well.
Sitcoms
Friends
Best season. It is the funniest out of all ten seasons. The plots were funny and the best lines came from this season. There were big moments from Rachel and Ross' break-up to the switching of the apartments. Great season!
The final season was the best. I love how it's based around the fire nation. We get to see the other side and how messed up it is. We also saw plot points that were hinted about in the first two seasons. The finale still make me cry ten years later.
I loved season two. This was the last season of this show and it did not leave a good mark. Not having Vanessa and Ethan around each other did not do the plot justice and the ending makes me mad, and I cannot believe who the villain actually is.
What did you guys think?
Do you agree with me or not?
What's a show that you love that has a great season 3?
Let me know and I will see you guys on Monday.
How I Met Your Mother
Funniest season by far. With Marshall and Lily married, it brings a new dynamic and then there's the huge breakup between Ted and Robin. We get to see Barney fall in love with Robin and that ship was born. Can't watch it now though since the ending ruined the whole show me.
The Big Bang Theory
Soft kitty song. Come on, that wins. Leonard and Penny's relationship is there and it's just an outright funny season. The best jokes that never got old.
Parks and Recreation
The show just got so good during this season. The jokes and plot were spot on. Just outright fun.
The Office
This season is just so funny. Stupid but hilarious. From just random plots to Jim and Pam's relationship, this season wins.
Childhood Shows
Kim Possible
Now I love this whole show, but season three does have the best plot lines. From fight scenes to new villains, it also starts to hint that Kim and Ron might be more than friends. Great season.
Avatar: The Last Airbender
The final season was the best. I love how it's based around the fire nation. We get to see the other side and how messed up it is. We also saw plot points that were hinted about in the first two seasons. The finale still make me cry ten years later.
Zoey 101
I've noticed that Dan Schneider's shows always have a very strong season 3. Drake and Josh and Victorious are other contenders. This season of Zoey 101 had the more interesting points, and was all in good fun. Also "Goodbye Zoey" stole our hearts and made us cry.
iCarly
It had a constant ratio of good episodes, the love triangle showed up, and this is the season I went from a Creddie fan to a full hard Seddie shipper. They had the best moments from this season also.
Dramas
Now this is a long list, so I am going to talk about my favorites and then list the rest of them off.
The Vampire Diaries
The introduction of the Originals and Klaus's whole story, also Damon and Elena. Enough said.
The Originals
BEST SEASON! First off, the plot point of their friends from the 1200s was a great idea. I loved seeing those flashbacks. Lucian was a jerk, and I hated him so much. Then Aurora kills Cami and her and Klaus get together. It was a ride throughout the whole season. The ending I cannot with and then the rest of the series is just horrible.
Teen Wolf
First off part A was fantastic, then part B just kills it even more. From the druid, Alpha pack, and then the nogitsune! The characters, the lines, just everything was perfect. We lost major characters and gained new ones. Stiles stole the show in part B, and I wanted to see more.
Jane The Virgin
Jane is not a virgin anymore and one of the biggest plot twists. So best season.
Bones
The best serial killer of the show. More Bones and Booth scenes, and another plot twist.
Others:
Gossip Girl
Game Of Thrones
Glee
Downton Abbey
Poldark
Reign
Greek
The Walking Dead
Outliers
I only have a couple to share, but these just don't have a strong season 3.
Outlander
The beginning was great, but waiting for them to reunite and the ship part did not get me. I love season one so much and hope season four is amazing.
Orange Is the New Black
To me this was a filler season since four was the strongest and set up the plot for the rest of the show.
Penny Dreadful
I loved season two. This was the last season of this show and it did not leave a good mark. Not having Vanessa and Ethan around each other did not do the plot justice and the ending makes me mad, and I cannot believe who the villain actually is.
