Top Met Gala 2018 Looks
As the first Monday in May comes every year, all fashionistas look forward to seeing the crazy looks from the Met Gala. This year's theme was Heavenly Bodies Fashion and Catholicism. It was a take on the Catholic church and the art that it had created. So many looks this year were amazing and on theme, even with famous celebs not going with the theme. My top ten are my personal favorites and these looks made my heart hurt.
Honorable Mention- Katherine Langford
10. Lili Reinhart
My baby killed it. I don't love the dress and why is it H&M at the Met Gala? She shined and I freaked out when Lili and Cole stepped out on that carpet together. She is stunning and my muse forever!
9. Lana Del Rey and Jared Leto
My Queen! My Goddess! My Love! You killed it. Lana is in wonderful Gucci with her homage to a Renaissance painting with the sword hearts. Her and Leto killed it with the style and theme of this Gala.
8. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
With the simplicity of his Ralph Lauren dress, the detail shines through. It's so breathtaking when it shines though and the head piece ties the theme together perfectly.
7. Emilia Clarke
Her Dolce & Gabbana dress was beautiful, but the makeup was so over the top that it made this look everything. It can be a little too much, but with the theme it went well having the times periods merge together.
6. Zendaya
She is a modern day Joan of Arc. The custom Versace dress was so stunning on her. This was a different take to the theme that others did not follow. She was in her own category and I personally want this dress.
5. Cardi B
Cardi B looks amazing. This dress is from one of my favorites, Moschino. The beading is exquisite and the whole look makes the theme pop out.
4. Priyanka Chopra
The whole look is what the Met Gala this year was all about. She wore Ralph Lauren and stole the show. It's simple and makes it perfect for the theme.
3. Chadwick Boseman
He was the only man to really represent the theme. He looked fantastic with this sassy suit. He is wearing Versace and this cape is wonderful.
2. Lily Collins
YAS! The red tear eye drop is everything. Representing later years in the Catholic church, she killed it with this look. The spiked tiara makes me so happy. I love this Givenchy dress,
1. Blake Lively
My heart is so full. This is an amazing look that is so beautiful it makes me cry. Her Versace look took over 600 hours to make. This is what I want to do as a designer, making something so beautiful you feel it in your bones.
Which is your favorite?
