Character Deaths That I Am Still Not Over: TV

Now I am a huge TV fanatic, as we all know. Multiple posts about TV shows, my favorites, and ships have already shown some detail on the subject at hand. Now it's time to get into the detail of these said deaths that make them the absolute worst, or at least the hardest to get over. Most of these were my favorite characters on their show, or they were just too sad of a death that did not need to happen. Movie character deaths are for another time because that post would be way too long. Grab a box of tissues as we delve into these sad deaths.

Barbara Holland (Stranger Things)

She died so young. She wasn't even a main character, but watching her parents go through everything was hard. Nancy should just tell them the truth. 

Carl Grimes (The Walking Dead)

I don't even watch this show anymore. The way he went out is so pathetic.
He almost died so many times and got shot in the eye, but he meets his end by a walker. Boring and not a good end.

Lady, Grey Wind, Summer, and Shaggydog (Game of Thrones)

If you kill an animal, I will cry. The saddest is still Lady. 

Murtagh Fraser, Angus Mhor, Rupert MacKenzie (Outlander)

First of all, we think Rupert is dying, but it's Angus that goes first. It isn't until the next season that we see the sad deaths of the other two. Murtagh was my bean, and I'm still sad. (EN: I loved Angus and Murtagh) The battle of Culloden was hard to watch, especially with losing these amazing characters. 

Beth Greene (The Walking Dead)

Why Beth? She was so good. After all she did to get back to her family, she dies by accident. Daryl carrying her out of that hospital still gets me. 

Matthew Crawley (Downton Abbey)

I was still not over another character's deaths then this happened. Mary and Matthew were finally happy and we watched them go through so much. He just had a baby when he goes to tell the family the news. Then he dies like this. WTF! NO! 

Catelyn Stark (Game of Thrones)

I knew it was going to happen, but it still hurt. Also in the book, there was hope that she would come back. Alas in the TV series, she did not. "The Red Wedding" is still one of the best episodes ever on Game of Thrones. 

Oberyn Martell (Game of Thrones) 

Another death I knew was coming. He was such a bean! He dies the worst way possible. Very graphic, but one of the best in Game of Throne's history. 

Opie Winston (Sons of Anarchy)

I accidentally read his death on Wiki. Man, I was mad. He was such a bean and one of my favorites. He went through hell and left a wife and two children behind. I cried when he died. So sad. 

J.T. Yorke (Degrassi: The Next Generation) 

I AM STILL MAD AT THIS! He was one of my O.G favs, and he was going to tell Liberty that he still loved her. Then he gets stabbed and dies. Watching his friends find out that he died is still one of the saddest moments in the show's history. 

Margaery Tyrell (Game of Thrones)

Once I saw her face turn, I knew she was dead. The explosions were amazing, but she is one of my favorite characters. It ended the season with a bang, but I'm still sad that she died. 

Lance Sweets (Bones)

This did not need to happen. He had a pregnant girlfriend, come on! I am sad and mad and I hate how they ended such a great part of the show.

Hodor (Game of Thrones)

This is the saddest death in Game of Thrones history. Watching him be eaten alive by White Walker's is hard, but realizing why he only says "Hodor" and how his life came to be is amazing and so heartbreaking at the same time.

Lady Olenna Tyrell (Game of Thrones)

She was another woman on this show that stood the test of time. She is responsible for killing Joffrey and I love everything about her. The way she died was okay, but still sad that she met her end. 

Poussey Washington (Orange is the New Black)

Her death was so hard to watch. With her dying by another officer, this leads to the last two seasons being revolved around the events that took place with her death. Great plot, but she was almost out and she was loving life. 

Ygritte (Game of Thrones)

We all knew she would die, but I loved her and Jon's relationship so much. I felt so bad for him as she died in his arms. Luckily, Olly got the justice he deserved for killing her (and Jon). I am happy they are together in real life though. 

Tara Knowles-Teller (Sons of Anarchy)

I learned my lesson with Wiki on this one. I threw my phone and sat in hate. THEY WERE ALMOST HAPPY! She had a loving husband and two children under five. Her death still kills me and makes me so mad and angry. I hate Gemma, her own mother-in-law, for this. Jax killed his own mom because she killed his wife. I can't watch this season. Once was enough. 

Vanessa Ives (Penny Dreadful)

This is a recent one for me. I watched this whole series in one weekend. The fact she dies in the arms of her one true love in the end makes me want to punch a wall. Ethan has to kill her, so she is not possessed by the devil anymore. Are you kidding me? Three seasons were spent trying to find a cure for her and make her happy only for her to die in the end. Still mad. 

Glenn Rhee (The Walking Dead)

I thought he was dead for so many episodes the first time and I cried. He is my all time character on this show. However he wasn't dead the first time and I was so happy. The cliffhanger of the seasons was hard not knowing who Negan killed. After Negan killed Abraham first, I was so relieved and my anxiety was gone. NOPE. Then he goes and kills Glenn right in front of his family and pregnant wife. I stopped watching the show after this point.  

Camille O'Connell (The Originals) 

Watching her die the first time, I was crying on the floor and yelling at my TV. She finally got together with Klaus after two and a half season of sexual tension and they finally kiss only to have her die by slitting her own throat. I had to wait a whole month to see if she turned into a vampire.  Aurora, Klaus's ex, compelled her to drink her blood and kill herself. When Cami woke up a vampire, I was okay. She didn't want to be one, so I saw her go though so much and her and Klaus weren't even together because she changed as a vampire. Then a couple of episodes later, Lucian, Klaus's ex friend, kills her with a deadly bite. So she goes to Klaus and tells him that she loves him. They spend the rest of her time on a dream date, and he holds her hand as the light goes out.
I still cry and it's one of the hardest TV deaths ever. Hopefully they are together in the afterlife now. 

Sybil Branson (Downton Abbey)

HARDEST DEATH ON TV! I am still mad and this happened years ago. After all the trouble of her and the chauffeur getting together, she dies in childbirth. I CANNOT! Their love story was amazing and they were finally happy. She dies in her mother and Tom's arms. I still can't watch that episode. I had to watch Bella's death scene from Twilight to finally get me to stop crying. Her daughter was named Sybil which just makes me cry louder. In the final season, we see young Sybil running around her mother's grave. I cried all over again.
