Favorite Opposites Attract Couples

Opposites attract in movies and TV are always some of the best to watch. Not Enemies to Lovers, but still interesting to see how two people can be so opposite but still fall in love. This is the second in my series of Ships tropes, and same as before, a lot of these can fit into other categories, but I decided that they fit best in this one.  

This list seams to have less than the friends to lovers post, but never the less, enjoy. 

10. Ronald and Cindy - Can't Buy Me Love

Nerd falls for popular girl is such a common opposites attract trope. This movie is one of my favorite examples of opposites attract in movies, as well as fake relationship trope. A classic 80s movie as well, and we all love young Patrick Dempsey.    

9. Mandy and Kyle - Last Man Standing

Some could argue that they are similar in wits, but I see them as opposites with her high strung fashionista ways and him being a puppy dog that loves everyone. Watching her fall for him is just so

 cute.

8. Cassie and Cappie - Greek

She is more of an A Type, being very high strung, and wanting everything to be perfect. Where he is more the relaxed and goes with the flow type. They complement one another as they bring out the best in each other. 

7. Ross and Demelza - Poldark 

Perfect example!!!! With her becoming his kitchen maid first to get away from her family, then to fall in love and become his wife, just shows how opposite they are. Her sweet and nurturing ways counteract his rash and rebellious side. They make a very good team. 

6. Eli and Clare - Degrassi: Next Generation 

Emo, angsty boy, smart, preppy girl, a great mix. Their relationship is definitely full of ups and downs, but they showcase how opposites can be better and make the relationship more strong. 

5. Chuck and Sarah - Chuck

She is a spy and he is just a tech nerd. When he becomes part of the spy life because he is in danger, they have to fake a relationship. See how this is goes in both tropes? They fall for each other even though they come from different worlds. 

4. Fran and Maxwell - The Nanny

She is literally his nanny, like a perfect examples of opposites. His more mature and colder demeanor is such a contrast to her bright, wild and funky way of life. They really showcase how two different people can fall for one another. 

3. Varrick and Zhu Li - The Legend of Korra

WE STAN SO MUCH!!! Rewatching LOK really made me fall in love with them again. As his assistant, she does everything for him. However, they are really just a team. With her being quiet and really behind the scenes, and Varrick being flamboyant and outrageous, they make the perfect team. The proposal scene makes me cry. 

2. Sybil and Tom - Downton Abbey

She is from a high power family and is a lady. He is just a chauffeur with a very left ideal. Of course they fall in love, and go against her family. They beat the odds as he becomes apart of Downton even more after her death. 

1. Caroline and Dwight - Poldark

With Caroline being an heiress to a large estate and fortune, she is expected to marry someone of the same status. Of course she falls for the town doctor who cares more about feeding the sick than money. They are the best opposites attract couple in my opinion.
